History of the truck...

We had to make an unexpected purchase a few weeks ago... this is how it came to be...
This is the truck Mike had when we got married. It was fine and dandy until it got totaled when a motorcycle ran into the side of it back in 2009...
So then we got this truck... it was fine and dandy too until it decided to up and quit one day... I guess after 240,000 miles it's entitled to do that...
So here is the newest truck... it's very nice and a LOT more quieter than the other trucks! Welcome to the family Big Horn!.... Oh and just a side note... I think I know how it got it's name Big Horn... Every time we open and close the door it honks.... a little annoying ... might have to find a solution to that!

Another Wicked Witch!!

Our Recreation department at work had a movie event and showed the old classic Wizard of Oz... so a few of us volunteered to be characters while people arrived to the movie...

I was the Wicked Witch... green and all!

Mike volunteered to be the Wizard.... actually I volunteered him... the deal was he would be the Wizard and I would go to Hunger Games with him... he definitely got the better deal... I did NOT like Hunger Games!!!
I had to help get the Scarecrow ready...

 Getting the Scarecrow stuffed...
Oh no... we are a bit messy... I hope the office cleaners don't mind!!
 Our preappearance poses...

The wicked witch and the wizard... The wizard is WAY cute!!
 My finishing touches... green hands!
OK... outfit complete and I am now in character!
I thought I would do an Angelina pose... she got a lot of publicity from it!ha!!
This is the really cool part... the movie is shown in a park at work!
 The star has arrived!!
The cast of characters... Glinda, Scarecrow, Wizard, Wicked Witch and Dorothy! We look pretty authentic don't ya think?!?
 I'll get you Scarecrow!!!..
I want those shoes!!! wow... I should get an Oscar!!!
 The two witches
here we are again... the paparazzi was everywhere!!
 LOVE this pic!!
 Boo!
I didn't actually see this in the movie... but I couldn't resist!!
 Me and my Wizard!!!
Give me a big kissy!!! actually that's at close as we got... there was no way Mike was gonna touch green lips!! Ha!
Time to get the green off!!! It actually came off pretty easy except for the fingernails... so I had to wait another week to get my nails done... didn't want to try to explain why some of my fingernails were green!
But I had way fun doing this... we watched Wicked a few weeks ago, then we watched the Wizard of Oz movie before the event so we could see all the details.. I helped with some of the costumes and with the help of Savers, Goodwill, my sewing machine and a little online shopping (it's really hard to find a witch hat this time of year!) I got my costume together! It was fun to add a little special effect to the event. Work can actually be fun sometimes!

About Me

My photo
Hi there everyone! I've noticed that a lot of people have a little life story on their blogs. So, always wanting to keep up with the latest BLOG trends, I've decided to put on a little blurb about my life for anyone that's interested. BUT, so no one is bored or has heard it all, I've put MY LIFE in ORIGINAL story form... Once upon a time there was a brown eyed girl, born of goodly parents, who set out on a journey. She traveled for a very VERY long time, through desert, mountains and forests and along the way she brought with her 6 wonderful treasures. But, alas, there were dark times, battles and dragons along the way, but she kept on going, with her treasures giving her strength and direction. Then in the desert, she met a blue eyed handsome prince, who had also been on a long long journey, and he had 2 treasures. So as you might have already guessed the ending.... the brown eyed girl and the blue eyed prince along with their treasures and a bunch more treasures, lived very happily ever after! Life is GOOD! It's party time now!
