From Brazil...

Here's the latest from Brazil... One of the questions I asked him was if Brazil had chocolate chips and strawberries cuz Trent likes to make chocolate covered strawberries.... I'm glad I don't live in Brazil... not enough chocolate there!

Hey everyone,

This week was a good week, we taught a ton of lessons and we closed two baptisms for this weekend. The weather is good. It has been cooler this week but not too cold. We are working really hard and we´re trying to mfind the elects. Nothing too exciting happened this week. Mom asked some questions and now i´ll answer them. No, we don´t get to go to the temple. The temple is a 14 hour bus trip from here. Chocolate chips don´t exsist here but there are chocoloate bars he can use. Strawberries are really hard to find but i have come across a couple times. São paulo should have them. That´s about it this week. Hopefully i´ll have more to say next week. See you later. Elder Lewis

Elder Nelson's visit. I´m on the left side on the third row of elders on the very end.

From Brazil...

Hello everyone,

WOW trent is going to BRAZIL!!!!!! That´s soooo cool. We get to talk portuguese together and he gets to eat the same food as me for two years and everything. I´ll talk to president and see what we can do so i can visit the mtc before i leave. I don´t even know what to say right now. But this week was a good week we baptized the bishop´s neice and we had a good week of work, we found a bunch of new investigators this week and some families. We also have some ward missionaries now and that will help us split up and teach more lessons. This is the last transfer for president tobias, everyone is excited to get to know the new president. Thats about it for this week. CONGRATS for trent he is going to the best place in the world. See you all later.

Here´s pics of me with the old people who founded Aparecida and a sunset and we baptized the bishop´s niece this week. Bishop baptized her and it was great.

You have been called...

The first thing Trent has done after work this week is to check the mailbox....

FINALLY... on Friday...

It's here!!!!

He wanted to open it right away so we called the family and friends...
You have been called to serve as a missionary...
You have been assigned to labor in the Brazil Sao Paulo East mission!!!!!
It's official!!!

This is one excited guy!!!

EVERYONE is excited!!
This call is EXTRA special... When we talked to Brandon on Mother's Day he said that Trent needs to get called to Brazil so they can talk Potuguese together! I wish I could see Brandon's reaction when he reads Trent's email!!! They have been so close all their life and did everything together... how cool is this that they will have this extra bond of having served in the same country! AND ... what fun they are going to have at all our family parties when they can talk about all of us in their own language!!
AND... I don't have to change my missionary dude... he gets to continue being excited to serve in Brazil.
Great times... great life!

Trent on the news again!

Trent was on the news again! You had to get up early for this one... it was on ABC 15 news on the 6:00 AM show this morning. I'll post the video as soon as we have it, but here are some pics:

Nice closeups... cute dimples.
This shows Trent talking to his doctor...looks serious... but I watched them film this... There's no audio to this part and what Trent and his doctor were really talking about during filming was Trent's trip to Conference! Pretty funny!
They showed Trent's scars several times... he has some gruesome looking scars on him as a result of the mole surgeries... the scars are real! Trent has quite a sense of humor and I'm sure he has some great stories all ready to tell on how he got these scars... fight with a bear, sword fight etc... and of course he won all the battles!
And his battle with moles are over.... for now... but we will have to keep a watchful eye on the little ones that are left ... SO EVERYONE...go get your moles checked!

From Brazil...

Hello everyone!

It was cool to talk to you all again. It´s crazy that it was my last call home. It´s crazy that president is going home after this transfer. Time sure does fly by when you´re having fun. We also had a zone conference this week which was way good. We talked alot about the plan of salvation and it was excellent. It´s been a long time since we had a conference like that. Other than that the week was normal. Nothing much happened. I hope trent´s call gets in soon. That´s about it. I´m still eating and healthy. See you all later.

This is the smoke i was talking about and there is tons of it. We also killed a mouse and the blood to prove it. there is one more mouse we have to kill but we haven´t seen it in a while.

(YUK! I didn't put on the picture of the dead mouse!)

Here´s the house we ate lunch at on sunday. It´s on a farm. It´s really far away from everything. Also a cool sunset and me talking to you guys an the phone.

Mother's Day/The Phone Call

Sunday was Mother's/Mom/Mama/Mommy Day. Mike gave me some of my favorite fruit... chocolate covered cherries and chocolate covered raisins and this pretty flower!

Later in the afternoon I got "the phone call"!!
Everyone was excited!
Lots of us got to talk to Brandon...
He is doing great, his mission is great, lots of baptisms, his apartment is nice...
he likes all his companions, he is staying healthy and eating good...
and of course we filled him in everything going on here!

Then we ATE!!!
and ate!!
Then I got some cool presents... A Wii fit!!! I don't need a gym membership!!! I will get in shape in my sloppy clothes in my own house and no one will see me!!(Wii update... I tried it tonight and I only lasted 5 minutes!... I thought it would be easy LOL!!!)
I always love getting new decor!

Very fun day... Life is good!

Camping!

We all took a couple days off work and went CAMPING!!!

Me, Mike, Trent, Quentin, and our friends Paul and Ann went to Dead Horse Ranch in Cottonwood.

The weather was warm and windy but nice and cool at night.
We played a lot...
I brought a new game called Farkle! It was VERY fun... Trent doesn't look too excited about it in this pic... but it really was fun!
What would camping be without a game of Phase 10?!?
We also went to an antique store, went out to eat and the boys went golfing! And when it got warm in the afternoon we turned on the air conditioning in the trailer! We sure were roughing it!
One evening after sitting around the campfire we walked in and found the boys doing their scripture study... they are going to make great missionaries!
Camp decor! My traditional camping centerpiece!
My favorite part of camping... cooking....
AND eating! We had LOTS of yummy meals like London broil, chicken, corn bread, ham and eggs, biscuits and gravy, Smores and dutch oven cobbler!
There were some fun trails I wanted to explore... so the boys were good sports and went on a walk with me.
I took some pictures of nature...
and I didn't want to leave without a picture of a quail! They were everywhere and didn't like to get their picture taken! This is as good as I could get!

As we were getting ready to leave Saturday morning I got my Mother's Day phone call from Dustin. Technology is great!
I had a great time and I can't wait for the next trip!!

About Me

My photo
Hi there everyone! I've noticed that a lot of people have a little life story on their blogs. So, always wanting to keep up with the latest BLOG trends, I've decided to put on a little blurb about my life for anyone that's interested. BUT, so no one is bored or has heard it all, I've put MY LIFE in ORIGINAL story form... Once upon a time there was a brown eyed girl, born of goodly parents, who set out on a journey. She traveled for a very VERY long time, through desert, mountains and forests and along the way she brought with her 6 wonderful treasures. But, alas, there were dark times, battles and dragons along the way, but she kept on going, with her treasures giving her strength and direction. Then in the desert, she met a blue eyed handsome prince, who had also been on a long long journey, and he had 2 treasures. So as you might have already guessed the ending.... the brown eyed girl and the blue eyed prince along with their treasures and a bunch more treasures, lived very happily ever after! Life is GOOD! It's party time now!
