Temple lights!

Last night my brother got into town so we grabbed a bite to eat then braved the rain to go see the temple lights! Poor Mike had to get up at 2:30 to go to work so he missed all the fun!

Brandon is standing by a tree he helped decorate!
That's me... standing by my favorite purple tree! I've got to get me some purple lights for next year!
Brandon, Erin, me and Dan all huddled under the umbrella!
In the visitors center to see the Nativities and dry out a little.
We found a few things from Brasil...

Going on a rainy night was great... no crowds!!! It was fun and it wasn't raining very hard anyway.
BUT... before we went home we did a VERY fun thing that Brandon and I haven't done in a few years...
It was almost 10:00 when we left and they turn out ALL the temple lights at 10:00...  ALL of them at once! You have to watch very closely and don't blink or ya might miss it! Try it sometime... it's way cool!

Birthday time!

Last weekend was birthday time for Mike... I won't say how old he is, but I'm gonna take him shopping with me now so we get a senior discount!!

His birthday celebration started on Saturday at the gun show. They don't allow pictures oat the gun show, but I snuck this one of the color guard. Anyway... we were there many hours and we all found some deals. Me, Mike and Brandon all went home with treasures. (you HAVE to see my new necklace... it is way cool!)
Then on Sunday, the fam came over and we had a yummy hamburger bar.

Mike's favoritest chocolate cake! It is WAY chocolately!!!

 Presents of course!!
We all had fun... thanks for having a birthday Mike! Hope you had a great one!

About Me

My photo
Hi there everyone! I've noticed that a lot of people have a little life story on their blogs. So, always wanting to keep up with the latest BLOG trends, I've decided to put on a little blurb about my life for anyone that's interested. BUT, so no one is bored or has heard it all, I've put MY LIFE in ORIGINAL story form... Once upon a time there was a brown eyed girl, born of goodly parents, who set out on a journey. She traveled for a very VERY long time, through desert, mountains and forests and along the way she brought with her 6 wonderful treasures. But, alas, there were dark times, battles and dragons along the way, but she kept on going, with her treasures giving her strength and direction. Then in the desert, she met a blue eyed handsome prince, who had also been on a long long journey, and he had 2 treasures. So as you might have already guessed the ending.... the brown eyed girl and the blue eyed prince along with their treasures and a bunch more treasures, lived very happily ever after! Life is GOOD! It's party time now!
